BOSTON, Mass. – The distribution of condoms is allowed in Boston Public Schools, but the packaging of some of those condoms is causing controversy in the city.

The condoms were donated by a Boston-based company called One.

“The ones that caused offense are all submitted online by consumers and voted on by consumers. So, there’s a range of a hundred different styles. It’s changing all the time,” said Davin Wedel, president of Global Protection Corp.

Wedel says One is donating replacements.

“We’re offering to help solve the problem with that. If asked, we would think that our standard designer mix would be a better product for the schools. It doesn’t have any slogans. It just has attractive designs on the packaging,” Wedel said.
