Stacey Dash has officially signed on to be a contributor for FOX News, according to a statement released by the network Wednesday.

Dash will join the news network to offer cultural analysis and commentary on various daytime and primetime programs.

“Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints amongst her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates — we’re pleased to have her join FOX News,” said Bill Shrine, Executive Vice President of Programming for FOX News.

Rumors began circulating earlier this month saying Dash was in talks to join the network. She has made guest appearances on the network before, and her new role will allow her to contribute on a more permanent and frequent basis.

Dash has made headlines before for her endorsement of Republican candidate Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election. She has also tweeted support to Paula Deen amid her scandal when the celebrity chef was accused of using racial slurs.

Dash is widely-recognized from her breakout role as “Dionne” in the 1995 film Clueless and more recently her role on VH1’s Single Ladies.
