It’s not everyday you get to work out next to President Barack Obama.
But that’s exactly what happened for some guests working out at a hotel in Warsaw, Poland, where Obama was in town to meet with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
The photos of Obama working out appeared first on Facebook and in Polish tabloids. A US Secret Service spokesman tells NBC News the workout was an “off the record” or “unscheduled” movement from the president.
Video footage obtained by the Daily Mail shows Obama going through a variety of arm and leg exercises:
Officials tell NBC News Secret Service agents were “in proximity” to Obama during the workout. The official adds that the “spontaneous” occasion is no different than if the president decided to dine out at a restaurant.
Wednesday, Obama voiced his support for newly elected Ukranian president Petro Poroshenko. He travels to Brussels next for the G-7 Leaders’ Summit.
