The highly anticipated Lupita Nyong’o Vogue cover is finally here, and it is stunning.

The Academy Award-winning actress was photographed around the Moroccan city of Marrakech by Mikael Jansson.

Nyong’o, 31, discussed her sudden rise to fame following her role in 12 Years a Slave, her family and fashion.

“It just feels like the entertainment industry exploded into my life,” she told Vogue. “People who seemed so distant all of a sudden were right in front of me and recognizing me — before I recognized them!”

“The red carpet feels like a war zone, except you cannot fly or fight; you just have to stand there and take it,” Nyong’o said laughingly.

The actress talked about her family, saying they are “very close-knit,” and explained the “major culture shock” she faced when coming to the U.S. for college.

Head over to Vogue to read more and check out more looks from the photo shoot.
