Bobby Brown has backed out of New Edition’s reunion tour to focus on his health.

“I apologize to the fans of New Edition,” Bobby said in a statement. “I really wanted to be with my brothers, but presently I am unable to give the fans what they typically expect from New Edition.”

In a video obtained by TMZ last week, the 45-year-old “My Prerogative” singer was seen doubled over and struggling to keep up with his fellow group members during a performance on July 2 in Mississippi.

“At this time, Bobby needs to put his health first, and we wish him a speedy recovery,” the New Edition members said in a statement posted to their website on Saturday July 12. “We are giving each and every show all we’ve got until his return — and will continue giving the fans 110 percent each night.”

The final stop on the New Edition tour will be August 3 in Los Angeles.
