Hospital cuts off man's penis in botched procedure

A man has filed a lawsuit against Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham and a number of other defendants claiming his penis was amputated without his permission.

A man has filed a lawsuit against Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham Alabama and a number of other defendants claiming his penis was amputated without his permission.

The man and his wife filed the lawsuit Tuesday in the Circuit Court of Jefferson County. According to the lawsuit, the man was scheduled to be circumcised last month in connection with health concerns. When he awoke from the procedure, he discovered the amputation.

“Needless to say, our client is devastated, inconsolable, and the family’s suffering continues,” said John Graves, the family’s attorney.
