Ja Rule reality show to air on MTV

theGRIO REPORT -- Ja Rule gets his own reality show on MTV.

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

MTV viewers will be seeing more of Ja Rule on the channel, but not just in music videos.

He will star in his own reality series, which has Queen Latifah as one of its executive produces.

Dubbed Follow The Rules, the 30-minute reality show will revolve around Ja Rule’s life with his big family — with his wife, three kids and mother-in-law living in the same house.

Ja Rule is perfect for the show. Think Bill Cosby from the Cosby Show, yet as a modern day reality rap star.

Known as Jeffrey Atkins in real life, he highlighted his unique approach to home life, saying, “Family tradition will never be the same b*tch.… Lmao!!!”

“He embraces a unique parenting style with his teenage kids,” Suzanne Daniels, MTV’s president of programming says, “[which is] fresh and funny.”

The reality series will be produced under Endemol’s 51 Minds production, with Christian Sarabia, Irv Grotti and Shakim Compere executive producing alongside Queen Latifah and Ja Rule. The number of episodes ordered for the series has yet to be announced.
