Seventeen-year-old Cody Lanphere is “Crazy in Love” with Beyoncé.
Lanphere had his wisdom teeth pulled out last month, and when he woke up from surgery, he expected his Idol, Beyoncé, to be there waiting for him.
In a hilarious video captured by his mother, and later posted to YouTube, the teenage boy sobs and says that Beyoncé “lied to him.”
“Where’s Beyoncé? She told me she’d be here,” wailed Cody Lanphere as blood-soaked gauze poked out of his mouth. “She lied to me.”
The video was news to Cody when he recovered.
“My reaction was complete bewilderment. I couldn’t believe that’s how I was acting because I don’t remember any of it,” Cody later told ABC News of the Sept. 29 surgery.
