Cincinatti Bengals player Devon Still, whose four-year-old daughter Leah is fighting a rare form of cancer, stopped by Mt. Saint Joseph University on Tuesday for a surprise visit.

Still took the trip to the Ohio university to meet with Lauren Hill, a freshman on the school’s basketball team who has inoperable brain cancer. Despite her terminal diagnosis, the 19-year old Hill still hopes to play in Mt. Saint Joseph’s first game of the season.

Still called the basketball player “beyond inspirational,” in a post on Instagram.

The story of Leah Still, the defensive tackle’s daughter, has resulted in nationwide support, with Still’s No. 75 jersey becoming the No. 1 seller in the entire NFL online store.

During his forty minute visit with Hill, Still gave a special game-worn jersey to the freshman player, signing it and writing “#BeatCancer” on its front.

In addition to talking with Hill, the Bengals player also took time to take a few photographs with the rest of the Mt. Saint Joseph basketball team.

In an Instagram photo of himself and Leah Hill, Still wrote as the caption, “Had the honor and the pleasure to meet Lauren Hill today at her bball practice..this jersey swap is the most memorable that I will ever have.” He also encouraged fans to learn more about Hill’s story and cancer research advocacy by watching an interview with Local12 News titled “One Last Game” that can be found on YouTube.

So many people have purchased tickets for Mt. Saint Joseph’s first game on November 2 that officials decided to move the game to a bigger venue. Xavier University has agreed to allow the game to take place at its Cintas Center. The NCAA also previously agreed to move the game, where the school will face off against St. Hiram, up to the November 2 date, giving Hill the chance to play. Hill’s doctors have told the 19-year-old that she is unlikely to live past December.
