Everyone at Sheffield High School has seen or heard about the viral video of a brutal fight after school.
The fight reportedly took place when one student talked about another student’s mother, who had recently suffered a stroke. The student whose mother was talked about attacked the other, kicking and punching and dragging the girl by her hair.
“You want to talk about my Momma?” the student said, while her victim pleaded, “I swear to God I wasn’t even talking about your Momma.”
Nearby students stood by and watched and recorded the fight as the victim screamed. Video from the incident lasts a full minute and 18 seconds.
Other students at the school were shocked when they heard about the fight. One student noted, “Someone should have stepped in and tried to stop that fight before it got too far.”
Shelby County Schools and police are investigating. The victim was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in unknown condition.
