Oxygen Media is announcing a new series, Preachers of Detroit, set to premiere Wednesday, February 18, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

According to a press release sent out by Oxygen Media, this new series will build on “powerful themes of faith, family and friendship.” The show will follow seven pastors and their struggles ministering in Detroit, Michigan.

The series will highlight various trials for the pastors and will cover topics “from the challenges of being a woman bishop in a field that is dominated by men to keeping faith alive in a city that has faced tremendous hardship.”

Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development of Oxygen Media described the premise of the show: “We introduce a new group of Preachers who have various roads to faith, triumph and transformation, but share a united dedication to help influence positive change in Detroit.”

The seven pastors viewers will follow include Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, Bishop Corletta Vaughn, Pastor Tim Alden, Evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole, Pastor David Bullock, Bishop-Elect Clarence Langston and Pastor Don William Shelby Jr.

The show will not air until February, but in the meantime, interested viewers can catch a sneak peek or visit the show’s official site while they wait.
