Beyoncé and Jay Z were on hand at Monday night’s Brooklyn Nets game to welcome Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The couples met and shook hands courtside at the Barclays center during halftime.

The royal pair also met with NBA star LeBron James, who played a major role in the Cavaliers’ win over the Nets. James reportedly presented Will and Kate with cupcakes from his hometown bakery as well as Cleveland jerseys — one even read “George” on the back for their young son back home.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also posed for photos with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. They were in attendance to celebrate The Royal Foundation and the NBA partnership between the Foundation’s United for Wildlife and Coach Core programs and the league’s NBA Cares global social responsibility program. The partnership intends to raise awareness about the importance of international wildlife conservation, develop the next generation of conservation leaders and support the growth of basketball.

Prince William and Kate are scheduled to tour the 9/11 Memorial and Museum Tuesday before attending a black-tie fundraiser for their alma mater, the University of St. Andrews. The Scottish university is where the couple first met.
