Chris Rock called Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger “the original Cosby” during a Tuesday night event in Baltimore.

The comedian was in town speaking before a screening of his new film, Top Five.

“I was getting ready to say something really bad about Roethlisberger,” Rock said when he began. Following urges from the crowd, Rock finished his thought, saying, “He’s the original Cosby.”

“That’s horrible,” he followed up. “That’s gonna go everywhere.” The speech was caught on video by The Baltimore Sun.

Roethlisberger has been accused by two women of sexual assault. The first alleged incident was in Lake Tahoe in 2008, but settled out of court. The second alleged assault happened in 2010 in Milledgeville, Georgia. Roethlisberger was accused of raping a college student in a nightclub bathroom.

The quarterback was never charged by police but was suspended by the NFL for four games of the 2010 season.

Rock not only stars in Top Five but also wrote and directed it. The film hits theaters December 16.
