Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Everybody’s done it. We’ve all sent texts that we immediately regret. But now, there’s an app for that.

The creator of the new app, On Second Thought, describes it this way: “On Second Thought allows users to quickly recall potentially embarrassing text messages, empowering users to better manage personal and professional relationships.”

Maci Peterson, co-founder and CEO, says it’s high time we dealt with the big texting faux pas. “We’ve all had that experience where we send a text message [that] made us look like complete idiots. We’ve all had that text message that we wish we could get back, and now we have the opportunity to do that with On Second Thought,” she says.

And soon, there will even be a curfew option. That way, we can’t text nonsensical things when we’re too tired to know any better.

We’re quite sure our friends will thank us for the reprieve from our usual texting nonsense.

Watch Peterson discuss her brainchild below.
