Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

It looks like Beyonce may have started a trend when she dropped her self-titled hit album Beyonce at the end of 2013 with no publicity or marketing. Now, several other stars are going that surprise album route, the latest being CeeLo Green.

On Wednesday the Grammy winner surprised fans when he released a nine-song album on Soundcloud.  According to Billboard, the project is called TV on the Radio and features popular TV theme songs from shows such as “Taxi” “Family Ties” and “Knight Rider.”

Green has kept a fairly low profile on the internet since August when he pleaded no contest to slipping ecstasy to a woman he met at Los Angeles restaurant in 2012 — then released a stream of controversial tweets regarding rape. After receiving public backlash, he later apologized for his tweets and deleted his Twitter account.

Now he is back, but neither he nor his reps have made any comment about the release of this new material.
