It’s currently freezing in New York, and a cold-blooded grandmother was busted Saturday for allegedly abandoning her 5-year-old granddaughter in a vehicle for over an hour while she played the slots at a Queens casino.

According to police sources, Renee Osby, 56, and the little girl named Jordan, were turned away from the Resorts World Casino in South Ozone Park because kids aren’t allowed inside. When security guards later spotted the grandmother alone in the casino, they became suspicious and went looking for the child.

They found her trapped inside the unheated vehicle about 11 a.m. and called the cops, officials said. Temperatures were hovering just below freezing.

When Osby returned to her vehicle an hour later, she claimed she’s just quickly slipped in to cash a check. But witnesses say she was seen playing the slot machines.

She was arrested for acting in a manner injurious to a child, and Jordan was returned to her mother on Saturday afternoon. The girl and her mother live with Osby on Madison St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn, according to Osby’s husband.
