Eddie Murphy is adding his name to the growing list of Hollywood A-listers set to star in the upcoming Richard Pryor biopic.

The comedian joins Mike Epps, who will play Pryor, Oprah Winfrey, who’s set to star as Pryor’s grandmother, and Kate Hudson, who plays Pryor’s wife, Jennifer Pryor.

Entertainment Tonight broke the news of Murphy’s new gig, but no word yet on his official role in the film.

Lee Daniels is reportedly set to direct the film and posted a photo of himself and Murphy yesterday on Instagram.

“Step in and brace yourself. They done let me and him out of our cages! #idonteventhinkimreadyforthisone! #excited #proud #OMG,” Daniels wrote.
