Fans all over the country gasped in shock when Malik Yoba’s character got killed off during the epic 2-hour season finale of Empire. Now, the actor is opening up about how he learned of his impending demise, along with his real reaction to being axed from the fastest growing hit on television.

While on TMZ Live, Yoba gave details about the moment Lee Daniels informed him his services would not be needed for Season 2. Given how politically correct he’s been during most of his other post-finale interviews, this was a decidedly more candid chat.
