Muhammad Ali's choice between Mayweather and Pacquiao revealed
The ‘greatest of all-time’ seems to have weighed in on who he hopes will win in boxing’s most anticipated fight in years. According to Muhammad Ali’s daughter, Rasheda Ali, the former heavyweight champion will be rooting for Manny Pacquiao, not Floyd Mayweather, in their upcoming fight.
“My dad is Team Pacquiao all the way!” she told TMZ. “My dad really likes Manny. He’s a huge fan of his.”
Rasheda said that her father preferred Pacquiao over Mayweather because of the way Pacquiao acts when he is not in the ring, noting that Pacquiao is “such a charitable person.”
On the other hand, while Ali admired Mayweather’s fighting skills, the admiration ends there. “My dad stood for things. Mayweather … I don’t think there’s a comparison,” Rasheda said.
Ali will not be able to attend the fight in person, but he will be watching it from his Kentucky home.
“There’s no question he’s going to order it [on Pay Per View],” Rasheda said.
“It takes my dad way back to when he was fighting.”
