An eighth grader from Michigan says he is afraid to return to school because of bullies who have called him the N-word.

Phoenix Williams recorded two classmates at Bloomfield Hills Middle School on video bullying him on a school bus and using racial slurs.

The young student turned the video in to school authorities, and the two students in question were reportedly suspended. However, they are now back in class.

“I really don’t feel safe going back to school, at all, because both of them are going to be there,” Williams told WDIV.

Bloomfield Hills School District and Williams’ mother contacted police to conduct an investigation. The students in question could potentially face ethnic intimidation charges.

Police have interviewed the students on the bus, as well as the driver and two chaperons who were present at the time the video was recorded.

The district said punishment was given to the students involved but would not comment on what it was.
