Tyler Perry has landed a role in the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

According to Variety, Perry is set to join the cast of Paramount and Michael Bay’s production and will play scientist Baxter Stockman.

“In previous iterations of the franchise, Stockman was responsible for the creation of the Mousers, machines meant to seek out and destroy sewer rats. The villainous Shredder learns of this invention and hires Stockman as his own scientist with the intent of using the Mousers to destroy Splinter, mentor to the Turtles,” Variety reports.

Plot details for the sequel have yet to be revealed.

Perry will star alongside Will Arnett and Megan Fox, who are reprising their roles.

The 2014 installment of TMNT earned a whopping $191 million domestically.

Perry was last seen on screen last year starring as Ben Affleck’s lawyer in Gone Girl.
