Beyoncé breaks silence about Baltimore riots, supports NAACP: 'People are hurting'

Beyoncé is speaking out about the unrest in Baltimore.

The Grammy-winning Houston native broke her silence today on Instagram, posting a photo of a protester draped in an American flag, along with a link to support the NAACP’s efforts to clean up Baltimore.

“People are hurting. Join us in supporting the NAACP to help in the cleanup efforts and to provide housing, food and supplies to those affected by the unrest in Baltimore,” Beyoncé wrote.

Beyoncé also shared with her 31 million Instagram followers a video of the latest cover of TIME magazine, showing the similarities between the Baltimore riots of 1968 and today.
