Saturday, rapper Layzie Bone come to the aide of a Wyoming man who had a diabetic emergency while driving.

Layzie Bone, whose real name is Steven Howse, intervened after seeing the man lose control of his car while traveling to a show in Riverton.

“He started swerving,” Howse told Wyoming’s K2TV. “We like, ‘Oh, my god, this guy’s gonna kill himself.’ He hit the dirt and came back, and when the concrete met his tires, he started spinning instantly. Turns out after we stopped to check on him he was having a diabetic shock.”

Though the man was disoriented, Howse was able to use his celebrity to help the man regain his senses. “He didn’t know who anybody was,” Howse explained, “so I said, ‘Do you know Bone Thugs-N-Harmony?’And he kinda woke up. He was like, ‘Yeah.’”

He then offered the 24-year-old diabetic fruit and chocolate.

“I’m not doing this interview to be no type of hero, like they put it,” he told the TV station. “I’m not that person. I genuinely care about people.”
