Jada Pinkett-Smith gives a great interview.

Just ask Howard Stern, who talked with the actress this week about her high-profile marriage to Will Smith and her storied career.

Pinkett-Smith married Will when she was 25, a decision she would not recommend to the couple’s two kids.

“Thank God I have a husband who’s just a gangster partner […],” Pinkett-Smith told Stern. “Can you imagine taking that road together from 25 to 44? […] You gotta be strong.”

She also addressed probably the most popular topic about the two – the concept of their supposed ‘open marriage.’

“You gotta trust who you’re with,” Pinkett-Smith said. “And, at the end of the day, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not [Will’s] watcher. He’s a grown man.”

The 43-year-old actress says she’s not worried about Will being unfaithful because he’s a “man of integrity.”

“He’s got all the freedom in the world,” Pinkett-Smith said. And as long as Will can look at himself in the mirror and be OK, I’m good.”

No topic was off limits during the more than hour-long interview with Stern. Pinkett-Smith talked about her time on Fox’s hit show Gotham, playing in a heavy metal band and raising the Willow and Jaden Smith.

She also discusses her friendship with the late Tupac Shakur and what it felt like when the two kissed for their first – and last – time.
