Billionaire and presidential hopeful Donald Trump has announced he wants chat show host Oprah Winfrey as his running mate.
In a sit down with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, the vocal real estate mogul said he knows Winfrey personally and wants her to help him become president.
“I think Oprah would be great. I’d love to have Oprah,” Trump said. “I think we’d win easily, actually.”
This isn’t the first time Trump has had his eyes set on the iconic daytime talk show host. He originally suggested her as his running mate when he considered running in the 1999 election.
“She’s great, she’s talented, she’s a friend of mine,” he said.
“She’s a good person. I’ve been on her show. In fact, I was on her show her last week”
Winfrey has not yet responded publicly to the invitation.
