So what really happened with Future and Ciara?

When the couple broke off their engagement and split late last year, rumors flew. Future tried to address some of the speculation and respond to cheating allegations in a HuffPost Live interview Monday.

The Atlanta rapper told host Marc Lamont Hill said the end to his relationship “had nothing to do with cheating.”

“I feel like we were just growing away from each other and we grew apart,” Future said. “And it’s just so much dealing with–when you’re in a relationship and you the man and you want to make certain decisions for yourself and she want to make certain decisions. And I feel like the best route for me is to make more music, to go back to Atlanta, to go back to my roots, for my family. Like when you a man you want to make decisions for your family, sometimes the lady don’t see what you see.”

Hill also asked the rapper to respond to questions submitted via Twitter. “Did Ciara make you wait the way she’s making Russell Wilson wait?” one question read.

The reference was to Ciara’s current boyfriend Russell Wilson announcing last week the couple will abstain from sex because “God spoke to him.”

“God didn’t tell me that,” Future later replied, leading to Hill bursting out in laughter. “God told me something else.”

Future also explained why he called off the pair’s wedding. He told Hill he didn’t want it to be a “huge media circus.”

He later expressed regret for some of his actions, especially when Ciara had already posted bridal pictures.

“So it was like more of embarrassment and I felt embarrassed for her because you love someone you don’t want them to feel uncomfortable,” he said.

Ok, Future – we got you.
