Kobe Bryant has come forward with words of encouragement for Caitlyn Jenner even as she is getting ready to be on the stage at the ESPYs.
Bryant told TMZ Wednesday it was important for everyone to feel like the person looking back at them in the mirror was their true self.
“I think people have to be comfortable being themselves,” Bryant said. “Doesn’t matter what walk of life you’re in, man, you gotta be comfortable being you. You got to be comfortable in your own skin.”
Bryant’s words of support echo the sentiments of many others, such as Kanye West. West, according to Jenner, had apparently told his wife, Kim Kardashian, “Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world, and I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me. If I can’t be true to myself, they don’t mean anything.”
