Stephen Brown, a 24-year-old British man, was jailed after he called emergency services multiple times and claimed to be Nicki Minaj.

Brown breached the Anti-Social Behavior Order when he called the number multiple times, including once when he asked for police assistance because he claimed to have seen a ghost.

On Christmas Day last year, he called the number to report that two men were threatening to kill him. Within five minutes of that call, he contacted the emergency services again to say that he would like to cancel his first call and instead report a poltergeist in his house, and he also claimed to be Nicki Minaj.

“He is his own worst enemy,” said lawyer Aaron Thompson, who described Brown as an alcoholic.

Judge Desmond Marrinan said that Brown was a “nuisance” and that his use of the emergency line was distracting police from doing their jobs.

Brown has been sent to jail for four months for his behavior.
