Travi$ Scott apologizes after going on homophobic rant at concert

Rapper Trav$ Scott is apologizing to the LGBT community after a video of him going in a homophobic rant went viral...

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Back in March, Travi$ Scott was videotaped during a tour stop shouting homophobic insults at the crowd. Recently, that video went viral, and now, Scott is apologizing to his fans in an attempt to combat the backlash.

In the video, Scott can be heard yelling insults like “f—-t” and “queer” at the Houston crowd because, it seems, the crowd was not excited enough for him, and he wanted to get them to show more energy.

But Scott took to Twitter just to reassure everyone that he is not, actually, homophobic.

“At my shows I get a lil turnt up. Sorry for that but never will I ever disrespect that community,” he wrote. “Thanks being said my apologies to anyone thats offended. My words werent out of bad meaning and in no disrespect.”

He then went on to try to play off his comments as just a slip of the tongue and a result of not thinking before he spoke.

“I dont want u to think of me as a spazz. Though when I get excited I tend to say the first thing on my mind out loud,” he wrote. “Ive been working on that as a person takes time but we all aint perfect.”
