“Wherever Drake cheers, losing follows. The curse continues. #SerenaWilliams,” one Twitter user said.
“Drake jinxed Serena man,” said another.
It didn’t take long for the blame game to take root, with the hashtags #blamedrake and #drakecurse trending on Twitter after the loss.
But Drake has long been the source of blame for losses. He was blamed for the Kentucky Wildcats’ loss in the semifinals of the NCAA tournament after they had an undefeated season and has even been blamed for LeBron James’ cramps during a game against the Heat.
Maybe Drake should just stop watching sports for a while.
