Kerry Washington was simply trying to exit the building after doing a live segment on Good Morning America Thursday when an overzealous fan rushed the actress attempting to get a photo.
Washington’s security was able to fend off the fan, but not before the Scandal actress was visibly tousled about by all the mayhem.
Washington opened up during her Good Morning America appearance about the status of her Scandal character Olivia Pope’s relationship with President Fitzgerald Grant.
“In television, we tend to think when two people come together that’s the end,” Washington said. “But in life, when two people come together, that’s the beginning.
“Turns out the same is true in Scandal. It’s a whole new story.”
