It looks like Petey Pablo’s guest star appearance on Empire was more than just a great cameo; it was also a way for star Terrence Howard to pay back an old debt.
Apparently, Howard ran into Pablo at a Hustle & Flow premiere party, where Howard had lost his wallet and was in dire need of some cash. Pablo loaned Howard $200 but then he never heard from Howard again … that is, until the Empire star called him up and offered him a spot as a guest star.
Pablo appeared as Lucious Lyon’s musical collaborator and wrote four songs for Lucious, including one in which Pablo is featured called “Snitch Bitch.” The value of this cameo? Around $15,000.
