Erykah Badu drops remix of Drake's 'Hotline Bling'

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Drake’s July hit, Hotline Bling, has been covered by plenty of awesome artists, but now Erykah Badu is releasing a remix of her own for the song, as she hypes her upcoming But U Can’t Use My Phone album.

Badu co-wrote the song with her son, Seven Benjamin, and posted it to Soundcloud this week.

While Badu and Drake have never worked together before, he did mention they had tea together in the lyrics of his song Days in the East.

In the track the Toronto rapper shares,

Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu house/ She made tea for me/ We talked about love and what life could really be for me. She said, when that sh– is real, you just know.

Given the apparent fondness these two have for each other, we can only hope that this remix is a sign of a future collaboration.
