50 Cent: 'Empire' Instagram post on 'gay stuff' 'does not reflect my views'

50 Cent clears up speculation that he posted homophobic remarks on Instagram...

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Rapper 50 Cent is taking heat this week over what many view as a homophobic Instagram post.

Last week, the Power creator pointed out a dip in Empire‘s ratings in an Instagram post which was later deleted.

He reposted an Instagram user’s post that pointed out the second episode of Empire had 3 million fewer viewers, blaming it on too many celebrity cameos and too many “gay” plots. The post read: “There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night’s Empire episode!!!! did you watch it? we could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!!”

50 Cent has now released a statement on behalf of his publicist, saying that the Instagram post he published, then deleted, does reflect his views.

“Mr. Jackson reposted something on Instagram that originated from a blog in relation to the decrease in Empire’s ratings. When he realized there was additional content in the blog post that he did not agree with, he immediately deleted the post as that is not a reflection of his views at all.”

Below is the Instagram post that 50 Cent reported and later deleted:
