Janet Jackson fans on Instagram are upset after the site took down their pictures and videos and even in some cases deleted their accounts.

Several fans who posted pictures or video of the “Unbreakable” Janet Jackson world tour have since complained about receiving emails from Instagram that state “a third party reported that the content violates their copyright.”

One fan in particular said her account was unexpectedly deleted, posting, “Without warning. Every. Single. Photo. Gone.”

A blogger who put up videos described receiving “five e-mails from Instagram . . . about the five videos I had posted . . . It seems like Miss Jackson’s [legal] team is on fire. What a shame they don’t understand the times we live in.”

A representative for Instagram has since blamed the emails and the deleted blogs on a “bug.” The representative said in a statement, “We have identified a bug that resulted in the removal of accounts that shouldn’t have been removed. We have fixed the bug and are in the process of restoring the impacted accounts.” This time, only “repeat offenders” will have their blogs removed.

Jackson’s legal team is known to be strict. Even official concert photographers are only allowed to take pictures during the first song, and only for the first 30 seconds.
