NeNe Leakes returning to Broadway in 'Chicago'

NeNe Leakes is taking on her first big gig after leaving Real Housewives of Atlanta, appearing in Chicago on Broadway.

On Thursday, the show’s producers announced that Leakes would be playing “Mama” Morton in the hit show at the Ambassador Theatre from Nov. 23 through Dec. 20.

It’s a return to Broadway for Leakes, who debuted last year in Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella as Cinderella’s wicked stepmother.

Leakes has been branching out to expand her talents and options after announcing earlier this year that she would not return for the eighth season of Real Housewives.
