A group of white Georgia teenagers have outraged many after photos of them dressed up as “black convicts” for Halloween started circulating on social media.

The Halloween costumes were captured on camera and posted to Instagram. The group posed while wearing orange jumpsuits and painted black faces, reports Complex.

Many social media users have called out the teenagers for racism, none of them are apologizing, and a few have even gone so far as to defend their costumes, saying, “Go in a jail and see what the majority of the population is.”

The account on which the original photo was posted has since gone private, but screenshots of the ridiculous blackface and the outrageous defenses are still online.

Every year prior to Halloween outlets speak about the need to avoid blackface and other racist Halloween costumes, yet some people still feel dressing as “black convicts” is acceptable. Smh.
