Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell had the perfect response for a racist tweet directed at him after he suffered a season-ending knee injury last week.

Bell went under surgery last week to repair his MCL and PCL in his right knee after a brutal injury Nov. 1. The Steelers were taking on the Bengals when Bell was tackled, and his knee bent backwards. Following surgery, ESPN reported the 23-year-old’s ACL remained intact and would be a great help to getting him back on the field for the start of the 2016 season.

Bell took to Twitter Saturday to announce that he was doing well and thanked fans for all the well wishes.

As with most celebrities, Bell not only received well wishes and support, he also received his fair share of hateful and even racist comments, reports BlackSportsOnline. Rather than return the hate, Bell’s response was full of class.
