Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s lip sync to Janet Jackson’s ‘Rhythm Nation’ is all we need in life

Nothing says "it's Friday" like an A-list actor dressing in drag and lip syncing Janet Jackson, while performing her choreography to perfection.

It’s been about two years Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s epic lip sync on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and he proved Thursday night he was still the lip sync king.

Gordon-Levitt and his The Night Before co-star Anthony Mackie competed on Lip Sync Battle, the show Spike formed after the hit Tonight Show skit.

During round one, JGL took on Usher’s “Yeah,” and Mackie performed Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl.” While it was entertaining, it pales in comparison to round two. Mackie performed a good version of MC Hammer’s “2 Legit 2 Quit,” and JGL stunned everyone with his rendition of Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation.” He nailed every dance move and even donned a ponytail and makeup, complete with red lipstick.

Our reaction was right in line with Mackie’s and the show’s host’s, LL Cool J.
