Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

If you were excited to see Lupita Nyong’o in the upcoming Star Wars film, you may have to settle for much less than we all expected.

According to new reports, several of the Academy Award-winner’s scenes in Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens had to be cut down or removed, because director JJ Abrams was not impressed with her performance.

The cuts have been attributed to problems with Nyongo’s acting in CGI scenes.

A source explained to The Sun, “The CGI seemed to be what Lupita struggled with, perhaps because it meant she felt less of a connection to the character.”

“There was a general sense that something wasn’t working so a lot of her scenes ended up being either re-worked or cut. Unfortunately she just didn’t end up delivering,” the source added. “It does happen in Hollywood, but not usually with Academy Award winners. Her part in the final film will now be a lot smaller than was initially expected.”

“It’s ultimately quite embarrassing for Lupita but she’s still thrilled to even be in such an iconic movie.”
