The president recently touted Kendrick’s song “How Much a Dollar Cost” as his favorite track of 2015.

When TMZ caught up with Lamar to get his reaction to such high praise from the president, he said “that’s great, man.” Lamar spoke briefly about the message of the song: “Help as many people as you can, man, if you want to live forever.”

As for the news that Michelle Obama’s favorite song of the year was “Uptown Funk,” Lamar said, “that’s a good one.”
