Florida cop’s wife caught on video stealing presents

A Florida woman, the wife of a police officer, was caught on camera stealing presents from her neighbor’s home. To make matters worse, the presents she stole were intended for the 2-year-old daughter of another officer.
Dana Hager was already on probation for shoplifting from a Kohl’s store when she was caught stealing the packages from her neighbor’s doorstep. However, when she realized that the contents of the packages (presents for a 2-year-old) were of no interest to her, she returned the packages to her neighbor’s home, still opened.
“The fact that Hager took the packages off of a neighbor’s front porch is shocking.” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told ABC News in a statement. “The fact that she is the wife of a law enforcement officer is even more shocking.”
Hager was caught after her face was plastered all over social media by the victims, and she confessed to her crimes after being arrested on Monday.
“Here’s the word. We’re watching the porch pirates, the cops’ wives are watching the porch pirates,” the sheriff told WFLA. “Facebook is watching the porch pirates. We’re gonna put you in jail and you’ll stay in our jail where you won’t need any presents.”
It is unclear whether or not Hager’s husband knew about her crime.
