Black man living in fear after alleged racist threats made by neighbor

A Maryland man says that he has been living in fear of his neighbor for over a year now, and it has got to stop.

The man, identified as Dante, says that his neighbor, Shaun Porter, has been using his front lawn to rant and to display his anger.

According to Dante, Porter has been calling out the neighborhood’s home owners association and its board members, and Porter has even put up their pictures.

“He’s threatening. He’s harassing…Thursday night he put my name on that truck — then it became a direct attack,” said Dante, referring to his claims that Porter had spray-painted his name, along with profanity, on the side of his truck.

“My family, in 2015, should not be subject to a hate crime…it’s absolutely ridiculous…I feel like I’m living in the 50s,” he said.

Authorities are aware of Porter’s actions and have apparently been gathering evidence against Porter, including statements from neighbors. In addition to Dante’s claims, he can also be seen on video riding his motorcycle close to a school bus, which some have claimed was another sign of his harassing the neighborhood.

Outside of Porter’s property, a sign can be seen that reads, “No Trespassing, Visitors Will Be Shot. Survivors Will Be Shot Again.”
