On Tuesday, Fox announced that it had ordered a live musical to be aired on its network on Palm Sunday. The musical, entitled “The Passion,” will be narrated and hosted by Tyler Perry.

The two-hour event will be broadcast live from New Orleans and will feature many iconic locations, all “culminating in a procession of hundreds carrying a 20-foot, illuminated cross from Champion Square outside the Superdome to the live stage at Woldenburg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River,” according to the network’s release.

“The Passion” tells the 2000-year-old story of the final hours of Jesus Christ’s life.

Casting for the special has yet to be announced, but Fox promises the special will include appearances from “today’s biggest stars.”

The story will unfold live at several New Orleans’ locations, while featuring a procession of hundreds of people carrying a 20-foot, illuminated cross from the Superdome to the live stage at Woldenburg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River.

“The Passion” will air on March 20, 2016.
