A Louisiana woman who was visiting family over the holidays didn’t want to pay a cover charge when she went to a strip club. Instead, she took a baseball bat and began to destroy the club’s property.

The woman, Shantel Jones, got into an argument about the cover charge at Ultra Violet Gentlemen’s Club in Willimantic before she left and returned with the bat, according to police. She then took the bat to club property and even smashed the cash register.

“This type of belligerent behavior is grossly unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the City of Willimantic.” Willimantic Police spokesman Stanley F. Parizo Jr. said in a statement early Sunday morning.

Jones was arrested for breach of peace and criminal mischief.

Although club property was damaged, no one was injured during the incident.
