David Bowie's wife Iman, celebrities share touching messages after the rock legend's death
Before news broke of David Bowie’s passing, the rockstar’s wife of 24 years, Iman, was sharing touching happy birthday posts on social media in celebration of the singer’s 69th birthday Friday.
On Sunday, the supermodel reposted a series of images and quotes, with the most recent being a black and white image that read, “The struggle is real but so is God.”
Prior to that, she posted an image of Bowie in his iconic Ziggy Stardust getup, and she also posted a quote that read, “Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
Bowie died Sunday, surrounded by his family at the age of 69.

In addition to Bowie’s wife, many other celebrities, including Kanye West, Madonna and Pharrell Williams, have taken to social media to express their sadness at the star’s passing.
