The family of Delta flight attendant Sierra Shields are desperately searching for her after she quit her job and left LaGuardia Airport on Thursday.

She has been missing since she walked out of the airport.

Shields was scheduled to work on a flight that was originating from that airport but instead turned off her equipment and walked out at about noon on Thursday.

Shields was last seen leaving the airport on foot but may have boarded a car or bus after that.

While the NYPD searches for Shields, her frantic family continues to worry about her, saying she might have been depressed. In order to aid in the search, the family has begun putting up “missing” posters and has also set up a “Find Sierra Shields” Facebook page.

“She lives her life by God’s word and is such an amazing, helpful, and caring daughter, sister, and friend,” an administrator for the page said in a post on Saturday. “All of us who know her, love her very much!”

Shields is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and medium complexion.

Anyone with information on Shield’s whereabouts is asked to call 347-670-3329 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
