On Saturday night, 3.6 million viewers tuned in to watch the Toni Braxton biopic “Unbreak My Heart” on Lifetime, making the biopic the highest-rated debut for the network in key demos.

The biopic is also the number one original movie since last year’s Whitney Houston biopic.

The film, which was executive produced by Braxton, was based largely on Braxton’s memoir and followed her life through her career, her divorce, her battle with lupus, and her adventure in learning how to care for her autistic son.

After the biopic aired, Lifetime also debuted “Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton,” which featured exclusive interviews and stories from Braxton’s life told by Toni and her family, L.A. Reid, Babyface, record producer David Foster and songwriter Diane Warren.
