On Wednesday evening, MAC Cosmetics posted an image to its Instagram page of a black woman’s lips, and the page was swamped with racist comments within minutes.

The picture was posted with the caption, “Royal romance at @ohnetitelny #AW16. #MACBackstage #NYFW.”

Soon, the Instagram page was flooded with racist comments about the picture, with some even saying that they were going to unfollow the account because of the picture.
