Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

A man who was caught on video shouting at Muslim women in an ice cream shop was promptly kicked out of the store this week.

Malaak Ammari and Nura Takkish told KABC-TV said that the man whispered to staff at Andrews Ice Cream and Dessert about them as they were in the shop wearing Islamic garb. He was kicked out but continued to berate them, and Takkish took out her cell phone to record the incident.

“If you can’t be nice, we don’t want you,” a woman says in the video to the man hurling insults.

“I don’t want them near my country,” he said.

“Too bad, we’re here,” Takkish replied. “Sucks for you.”

“Sucks for me? You’ll see what happens,” the man said.

“You’re racist, and this is on tape,” Takkish said.

The women praised the shop employees for standing up against the man and for showing that such hurtful comments were not the norm.

“I was really hurt because I’m like, ‘I’m American and I’m just as American as everyone else is here,” Takkish said. “Most people are like those women, so I don’t really look at it as a negative experience. I look at it as a very positive one.”
